Ethnic Social Networks and Status Transitions in the Labor Market: The Case of Syrian Refugees

Abstract: In this study, it will be focused on the mechanism of Syrian refugees in Turkey getting into the labor market and how they cope with the difficulties of life in an economic uncertainty both socially and economically will also be analyzed, In order to comprehend the process of Syrian refugees how to be included in Turkish society and labor market, positive / negative effects of social capital and contents are aimed to be analyzed in the study. Thus opportunities and constraints of the process of Syrian refugees getting into the labor market will be discussed. In this study, the positive aspects of ethnic social networks and structural factors in the process of immigrants being included in the host country will be firstly pointed out depending on corporate disclosures. Then the negative effects of ethnic social networks on the process of getting into the labor market will be discussed.
