Abstract:
Beside industrialization women labour force is started to locate more in general labour force by means of growing migration from rural to urban areas. Women labour force?s position in labour market is altered in the time by adjusted economic and social structure. Women labour force specifically having a crucial role in economic development is in evolution consistently regarding to working hours, education level, skills and sectoral employment scatter. Women labour which is in developing countries reinforced rural areas and agriculture sector intensified in service sector and urban areas in developed countries. Particularly, in develeping countries qualified or unqualified employment opportunities needed by tourism industry arouse more women employee in this industry. In this study, women employment opportunities in tourism industry and barriers are faced in women employment are examined in terms of tourism industry. In the study, women employment statistics by years are presented and opportunities making acceptable to employ in tourism industry and reasons obstucted women to employ in the industry are evaluated by means of SWOT analysis.
