Abstract:
Plant–plant competitive and facilitative interactions might strongly affect the biodiversity effect and field productivity of intercropping system under the condition of limited resources such as available phosphorus (P). To test this hypothesis, the maize–grass pea intercropping system with five P application gradients (from low- to high-P) was experimentally investigated and the global meta-analysis validation was simultaneously performed.
