Developing sustainable dairy farms in the tropics: From policy to practice

Titis Apdini, Corina E. van Middelaar and Simon J. Oosting

Agricultural Systems, 2024, vol. 220, issue C

Abstract: Sustainable dairy production is included in the policy agenda of many countries in the tropics to address, among others, their commitment to the Paris Agreement. To the best of our knowledge, however, a study to assess the impact of the proposed interventions for sustainable dairy production is still lacking for most of those countries. Using policy goals as entry points to develop scenarios can provide insight into the impact of policy interventions on dairy farming practices.
