Agricultural Systems, 2025, vol. 227, issue C

Abstract: India's agricultural sector, with 121 million small and marginal holdings, faces challenges from a growing population, limited land, and restricted resources. Innovative farming technologies like precision agriculture, climate-smart practices, smart irrigation, and digital platforms offer solutions for enhancing productivity, sustainability, and economic viability. However, resource-poor farmers struggle to adopt these technologies due to low awareness, budget limitations, and infrastructure gaps.
