Abstract:
As the global population increases and the per capita demand for resource-intensive diets rises, the resulting surge in food demand places greater pressure on the global food system, intensifying its reliance on trade. While much of the existing literature has primarily focused on bilateral trade relationships between countries—many of which are over a decade old—with limited recent contributions.
