Grade point averages versus experience

Abstract: •We study the role of Grade Point Averages and experience on tourism graduates' employability.•Pre-graduation experience is a key predictor of employability in the first year since graduation.•Without experience, higher Grade Point Averages increase employability for females but not for males.
