oTree Manager: Multi-user oTree installations made easy

Abstract: oTree Manager is a software package designed to support the setup and management of multiple, production-ready oTree installations on the same server. Running in Docker containers, the individual instances run completely independent of each other while being less resource-intensive than traditional virtual machine setups. A convenient web interface provides both experimenters and laboratory managers with easy access to the most common actions and eliminates the need for command line interaction. Finally, oTree Manager comes with a novel Lobby feature which makes laboratory experiments that use oTree’s rooms feature more convenient to run.
