The developmental status of abused and neglected children in the Philippines

Peejay Bengwasan and Mari Erika Joi F. Bancual

Children and Youth Services Review, 2020, vol. 110, issue C

Abstract: Traumatization with the absence of parental care becomes toxic to a child’s development (Dudley, 2015). Despite documented effects of child abuse and neglect, there is a need to explore the status of children who experienced maltreatment who are outside the home (Roche, 2017).
