Abstract:
•Early life exposure to maternal incarceration is associated with absenteeism.•The experience of multiple adversities confers an even greater risk to absenteeism.•Out-of-home-care placement is associated with decreased odds of absenteeism.•Effects of adversity exposures on absenteeism are strongest for adolescent children.
