Comparison of hope and the child-parent relationship of at-risk adolescents at home and in residential care

Abstract: •Results showed no significant group differences in the level of hope and relationship with parents.•We found that perceived relationship with parents contribute to their children's hope.•The findings emphasize the importance of designing programs that focus on parenting skills.
