Abstract:
•Routine service delivery forms were used to track foster youth mental health treatment.•Most youth referred for treatment outside of mandatory annual screening, started treatment, and stayed for at least nine months.•Children varied as to causes of referral, extent of adverse childhood experiences, and reasons for ending treatment.
