Financial determinants of firm dynamics: Evidence from a European panel

Markus Brückner

Economics Letters, 2010, vol. 107, issue 1, 63-65

Abstract: I use a panel of large European firms for the period 1999-2007 to study scale dependence in firm dynamics. I find that scale dependence is much more pronounced when focusing on within-firm rather than between-firm variation and that scale dependence is a decreasing function of financial development.
