Empirical evidence on the generalized Taylor principle

Abstract: This paper analyzes the trade-off between inflation and uncertainty stabilization in the US. GMM-results imply that the Fed does not deemphasize inflation stabilization in favor of uncertainty stabilization during the latest sub-prime crisis.
