EU services liberalization and TFP growth: Industry level evidence

Abstract:
We explore whether the announcement of the EU services directive affected total factor productivity growth of European services. Difference in differences estimates highlight a positive influence following the initial announcement. Medium and high growth sectors are those which mostly benefited.
