Blockchain technology use and myopic management behavior: Evidence from China

Abstract:
We use a sample of Chinese A-share listed firms and find that firm’s use of blockchain technology contributes to less myopic management behavior, especially regarding overproduction and cutting discretionary expenses. This leads to an enhancement of future firm value.
