Abstract:
Through empirical analysis of panel data from 31 provinces in China (excluding Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan), this study finds that government transparency significantly positively impacts regional financing efficiency, with the level of government governance acting as a mediating factor between government transparency and regional financing efficiency. The research also highlights that the influence of government transparency on regional financing efficiency varies across different regions, being more pronounced in the eastern and central regions, while no significant effect is observed in the western region.
