Abstract:
This study investigates how digital transformation influences the tendency of companies to engage in herd behavior regarding the disclosure of ESG information. The findings indicate that digital transformation notably increases herd behavior in ESG information disclosure among these companies. Additional analysis considering different types of companies shows that this effect is stronger in private sector firms and those operating in highly competitive environments. The research offers practical insights and serves as an empirical and theoretical resource to support the advancement of digital transformation in businesses, contributing to the broader goal of achieving high-quality economic growth.
