R&D globalization and enterprise innovation capability

Chenxin Ma and Xiang Ji

Finance Research Letters, 2024, vol. 65, issue C

Abstract: This paper selects the data of China's A-share listed companies from 2012 to 2022 as the research sample to explore the impact of R&D globalization on corporate innovation capability. It is found that R&D globalization activities significantly improve firms' innovation capability; executives' overseas experience positively affects the relationship between the two dimensions of R&D globalization and firms' innovation; and executives' political affiliation only positively affects the relationship between the depth of R&D globalization and firms' innovation capability.
