Abstract:
Fiscal support for agriculture is a crucial government strategy to stimulate rural economic development and invigorate the market economy. This paper, using data from the China Social Comprehensive Survey, empirically examines the impact of fiscal agricultural support on individual entrepreneurship in rural areas. The findings indicate that such support significantly enhances personal entrepreneurship and market vitality in rural regions. Heterogeneity analysis reveals that the positive effect of fiscal support on rural entrepreneurship is more pronounced in areas with lower marketization and stronger government intervention.
