Abstract:
This study takes the state-owned listed companies in China's capital market as the research object and empirically tests the relation between inspection supervision and corporate green total factor productivity (GTFP). Research results indicate that inspection supervision can considerably improve enterprise GTFP. Heterogeneity analysis results show that the promotion effect of inspection supervision on corporate GTFP is primarily concentrated within large-scale enterprises and those with better institutional environments. The findings offer guidance for governmental policies and strategies to enhance and sustain inspection supervision practices.
