Abstract:
Based on the data samples from the China Household Finance Survey (CHFS) in 2017 and 2019, this study delves into the intrinsic relationship between Confucian culture, family wealth, and household participation in commercial insurance. The research findings indicate that Confucian culture positively promotes household participation in commercial insurance; an increase in family wealth significantly enhances households' willingness to participate in commercial insurance. Further analysis reveals that family satisfaction plays a crucial intermediary role between Confucian culture and household participation in commercial insurance. Additionally, the impact of Confucian culture on household commercial insurance participation behavior exhibits significant regional differences.
