Abstract:
Using panel data from 30 provinces in China from 2012 to 2023, this study empirically examined the impact of agricultural production trusteeship (APT) on the growth of grain total factor productivity (TFP) using a two-way fixed-effects model, along with the moderating role of financial credit. The study found that APT drives grain TFP growth by promoting technological progress and improving technical efficiency, which in turn plays a more important role in this process. The results also show that financial credit can strengthen the impact of APT on grain TFP. Further research shows regional differences in the impact of APT on grain TFP, with a more pronounced boost in the east and nonprimary grain-producing regions.
