Abstract:
Inclusive finance enhances access to financial services and products for low-income individuals. This study explores the impact of inclusive finance on rural households’ economic resilience in China. Examining a large-scale survey sample, we find that digital inclusive finance substantially strengthens rural economic resilience. Further analysis shows that agricultural production expenditure and the intensity of entrepreneurial activities are two key economic channels underlying this relationship. Overall, this study advances the burgeoning literature on digital inclusive finance and rural economies.
