Abstract:
This study analyzes data from public companies from 2010 to 2022 to investigate the effects of digital transformation on environmental performance. The research results indicate that digital transformation has a substantial positive influence on a company's environmental performance. Additionally, media attention acts as a moderating factor in the relationship between digital transformation and corporate environmental performance, with this moderating effect exhibiting heterogeneity between heavily polluting and less polluting enterprises; and there exists a scale threshold effect concerning the influence of digital transformation on corporate environmental performance.
