Abstract:
This study empirically examines the relationship between digital transformation and the green competitiveness of enterprises based on data from listed companies from 2013 to 2022. Findings indicate that digital transformation can significantly improve the green competitiveness of enterprises, especially when accounting for endogeneity and adding fixed effects into the analysis. Mechanism analysis demonstrates that green innovation, human capital upgradation, and operational efficiency play significant positive roles in facilitating green competitiveness within enterprises. Heterogeneity analysis indicates that the impact of digital transformation on enhancing green competitiveness is particularly pronounced in enterprises with green investors and for those operating in regions with rigorous environmental law enforcement.
