Abstract:
This study uses the entropy method and a coupling coordination model to examine the relationship between new quality productivity and intellectual property protection in 31 Chinese provinces. Findings indicate that the two factors have significant synergistic effects, with the overall degree of coordination steadily increasing from 2012 to 2022. However, regional imbalances remain evident, following a spatial pattern in which the eastern regions exhibit higher coordination levels than the western regions. Most areas are classified as marginally coordinated. This study emphasizes that strengthening intellectual property protection effectively promotes the development of new quality productivity. Furthermore, addressing regional coordination gaps is crucial for enhancing localized productivity.
