Abstract:
•A novel approach to analyse population reaction to COVID-19 was presented.•Positive and negative outbreak in Italy have been measured from tweets•The higher the number of cases the higher interest rate on coronavirus.•The negative outbreak overcomes the positive one but tends to diminish over time•Differences among Regions in terms of interest smoothened after the national lockdown.
