Abstract:
•This study aims to understand the formation of knowledge use.•Knowledge use includes knowledge reuse and knowledge new use.•We propose a belief-motivation-use model to explain the formation of knowledge use.•We draw on the integration between the dedication-constraint framework and social cognitive theory.•The proposed hypotheses are largely supported by the empirical results.
