Abstract:
The public hearing on the seventh round of Brazilian airport concessions gave rise to debates on the multi-airport system and its coordinated modelling. Considering that the airport sector is an important source of both passenger and cargo traffic in a country the size of a continent such as Brazil, this article reviews the evolution of Brazilian airport concessions and outlines their perspectives and opportunities in Brazilian multi-airport systems, particularly the Rio de Janeiro multi-airport system.
