Air cargo expansion and economic growth: Finding the empirical link

Yu-Hern Chang and Yu-Wei Chang

Journal of Air Transport Management, 2009, vol. 15, issue 5, 264-265

Abstract: This paper applies Granger causality tests to examine the causal relationship between air cargo expansion and economic growth in Taiwan for the period 1974–2006. The results of cointegration tests show a long-run equilibrium and bi-directional relationship between air cargo expansion and economic growth in the case of Taiwan.
