Abstract:
The California ISO and its market participants collectively cut over to a new nodal-based market on April 1, largely without incident and 11 years to the day from the initial startup in 1998. Thus far, the new nodal framework has proven robust, and the inevitable design and implementation issues that have emerged since cutover have been manageable.
