Recovery of Executive Compensation Expenses in Utility Rate Cases

Abstract: The recent economic downturn has brought greater scrutiny to executive pay across the country, including within the utility sector. For this reason, it is more important than ever to have a fair and prudent compensation system in place and to carefully monitor pay practices, ensuring that executive pay remains competitive yet reasonable given current economic conditions.
