Upcoming EPA Regulations and Potential Impacts on Electric Reliability

Abstract: The power sector is bracing for a number of new environmental regulations. A recent North American Electric Reliability Corporation assessment projects a significant number of plant retirements resulting from these regulations, with adverse impacts on reserve margins and reliability.
