Abstract: The wasteful and fruitless creation of the New Electricity Trading Arrangements proved to be the first step in the demise of the market, and the formation of the oligopoly was the second. Now the greening scheme hatched by former Prime Minister Blair, with its impossible and expensive ambitions for 2020, represents the death knell.
