Redefining Renewable Portfolio Standards: The Value of Installed Renewable Capacity

Abstract: An ideal RPS design should hit the right balance between generated energy and reserve margin contribution. Awarding renewable reserve margin contribution will not only benefit geothermal energy but all other renewable sources that can contribute to reserve margins.
