Large scale modeling for corporate planning

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to outline the characteristics, use and benefits of a resource allocation system using a model generation language, and mixed integer programming. The system has been successfully implemented and used for over three years in a multi billion dollar international paper company, to support a wide variety of corporate planning needs.
