Abstract:
The single machine static scheduling problem has been studied with a number of criteria. Increasingly, this problem has been considered with two criteria jointly. Such attempts have usually taken two approaches. One approach is to consider one of the two criteria as the objective function and the other as a constraint. The other approach is to consider a joint objective function where both criteria are included. This paper presents a critical review of this research.
