Mathematical economics in Soviet management

Abstract: This article illustrates a use of management science in the USSR by describing the principal formal approaches to the analytical modelling and design of organisational structures in industry. Experience of the use of the method in the construction and other industries is mentioned for different organisational schemes at branch level.
