Abstract:
A multi-attribute quantitative model was developed to assess country risk both for the short and medium-long term. Delphi method was used in determining the relevant variables and their respective weights in the model. The proposed model is practical and can be updated to systematically conduct country risk assessments for most countries. The data requirements can be fairly easily met from reliable sources and the results obtained can serve as a useful guide for decision-makers.
