Is queueing theory dead?

Abstract:
There have been reports of the demise of queueing theory. This paper presents the results of a search for the remains, and includes an inquiry into the facts of the case. We found that alleged victim (age 80) alive and thriving, and looking forward to another decade of vigorous activity.
