An analytic evaluation of microcomputer educational OR/MS Software

Abstract: This paper evaluates, using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), six recent OR/MS software for microcomputers. Two methods were used to aggregate the individual responses and close agreement was found between individual ratings, as well as between methods. The overall ranking of the six software packages was not practically affected by changes in the importance assigned to the various criteria. Guidelines are provided to select the appropriate software, depending upon specific requirements of the user.
