DIY DEA: Implementing data envelopment analysis in the mathematical programming language AMPL
R. H. Green
Omega, 1996, vol. 24, issue 4, 489-494
Abstract:
This note provides a complete implementation of the original Charnes, Cooper and Rhodes data envelopment analysis model. For this purpose the algebraic modeling language AMPL is used, software for which, packaged with the LP solvers CPLEX and MINOS, is readily available. Because AMPL is such a high-level language, with a syntax matching very closely that of the algebraic, symbolic representation of a linear programming model, the interested reader should be able to adapt the given implementation to any other data envelopment analysis model variant.
