Omega, 1976, vol. 4, issue 2, 215-223
Abstract:
The inverse gaussian distribution is a relatively unknown statistical distribution which appears to have considerable potential for application in the management sciences. The paper presents a summary of the distribution's key statistical properties and surveys applications of the distribution found in the literature. The paper also discusses a number of areas of potential application which are as yet unexplored.
