Implementing strategic plans through strategic program evaluation

William R King

Omega, 1980, vol. 8, issue 2, 173-181

Abstract: Strategic Program Evaluation (SPE) is proposed as a method for linking the choice elements of corporate strategy--missions, objectives, strategies, goals, programs etc.--to ensure that strategic plans are implemented. Such a use of SPE requires the exposition of the specific relationships among the strategic choice elements and the development of evaluation criteria that can be used to develop a program structure that effectively implements higher level strategic decisions.
