Manpower allocation in the criminal investigation process

Abstract: A model describing the optimal allocation of manpower for the investigation department of the Israeli police force is described. A technique for estimating police officials preferences is given. It is believed that the approach and the methodology used can be applied in various manpower allocation problems and can serve as a good case study.
