Abstract:
•Gainful utilization of limestone mining waste in open graded friction course has been explored.•Quarry waste processed into aggregates of different sizes and then evaluated for physical parameters.•Five mixes were prepared replacing conventional aggregate with recycled aggregates at an interval of 25% by weight.•Each mix was evaluated for strength, durability, permeability, drain down, moisture susceptibility, and rutting behavior.•Use of limestone quarry waste in open graded friction course is feasible.
