Abstract:
•This paper provides a correction to a coding error in a previously published paper.•The study utilizes linear and nonlinear ARDL bounds testing to examine relationships between the type of drilling rig, real oil prices, and oil production.•The results illustrate the importance of drilling rig trajectory in the operations of oil producing firms.
