Abstract:
This research examines the impact of mineral extraction on sustainable development in a selection of Central Asian countries, using a time series (2000–2022) and a lag (autoregressive distributed) analytical method. With an emphasis on natural resource markets, this paper examines the crucial role that alternative economic approaches play in attaining ecological sustainability. As the globe struggles with climate change and environmental deterioration, creative solutions are needed to protect ecosystems and maintain human livelihoods. We provide a fresh viewpoint on the markets for natural resources, highlighting the possibility that market-based tools like eco-labeling and cap-and-trade programs might synchronize financial incentives with ecological objectives. Furthermore, as complementary strategies to guarantee long-term ecological resilience, we address the significance of circular economies and community-based resource governance. To assure a sustainable future, this research emphasizes the necessity for a diversified strategy to handle ecological problems, including alternative economic methods in policies and encouraging stakeholder engagement.
