Abstract:
This study examines how Crude Oil Futures impact China's natural resources, green environment, and mineral resources amidst global economic shocks from 2010 to 2022. Using a disaggregated GARCH model, we reveal diverse responses across these sectors, highlighting China's unique role in the global resource landscape. Our analysis uncovers three key findings, elucidating the intricate connections between Crude Oil Futures, economic shocks, and China's resource sectors. These findings paint a complex picture of how global economic uncertainties shape China's resource landscape. Finally, the study proposes an additional analytical framework to bolster resource resilience and sustainability amid evolving global dynamics. The study also directed multiple implications for key stakeholders.
